Andy and Kevin will be demonstrating how to make a Martinez, a classic cocktail dating back from the 1800’s. The Martinez is part Manhattan, part Martini. Drinkers who enjoy Manhattan’s and drinkers who prefer Martini’s can all agree on this cocktail. You will also learn how to make a Daiquiri. Daquiri’s are clean, tart, sweet layered and refreshing. They can be easily changed by using different types of rum and varying in proportions of lime and sugar. When made right, you can easily drink these on a summer afternoon.

Martinez

  • 1.5 oz Gin
  • 1.5 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • .25 oz Maraschino Liquor
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Stir/Strain/martini
  • Garnish with Lemon Twist

Daiquiri

  • 2 oz White Rum (recommend Banks 5 Island Rum, Denizen 3)
  • .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • .75 oz Simple Syrup
  • Shake/2xStrain/Martini

Another Martini for all you Gin drinkers: A clean, crisp, complex Gin Martini Riff from the 1900’s

  • 1.5 oz Gin (recommend London Dry Gin)
  • 1.5 oz Dry Vermouth (recommend Dolin Dry, or Noilly Prat)
  • .25 oz Maraschino (most common is Luxardo)
  • 2 dashes Orange bitters (Reagan’s Orange Bitters)
  • Absinthe rinsed martini glass
  • Stir/Strain/Martini
  • Garnish Lemon Twist
